“First Blood” is a 1982 American action film directed by Ted Kotcheff and starring Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo. The film was a box office success and spawned a franchise of sequels.
“First Blood” tells the story of John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran who has been struggling to adjust to civilian life after returning from the war. He arrives in the small town of Hope, Washington, looking for an old war buddy, but is met with hostility from the town’s sheriff, Will Teasle. The sheriff, believing Rambo to be a vagrant, attempts to arrest him, but Rambo, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, fights back and manages to escape into the nearby woods.
The sheriff and his deputies pursue Rambo into the wilderness, where he uses his combat training to evade and outmaneuver them. As the manhunt continues, tensions rise and the violence escalates, with Rambo ultimately being forced to defend himself against the law enforcement officers who are determined to capture or kill him.
Meanwhile, a sympathetic local named Jenny offers to help Rambo and offers him a place to stay. Rambo is initially hesitant to trust her, but eventually opens up to her about his experiences in the war. As the conflict between Rambo and the sheriff’s department reaches its climax, Rambo is forced to confront his own demons and make a choice about whether to continue fighting or surrender.
