Simone began her career as a host on a Canadian television show called “Space for Living.” She later moved to Los Angeles and landed a role on the television series “New Girl” in 2011, where she played the character of Cece Parekh for seven seasons until the show ended in 2018.

She has also appeared in a number of films, including “Folk Hero & Funny Guy” (2016) and “Oldboy” (2013), as well as other television shows like “Killing Gunther” (2017) and “H+ The Digital Series” (2011). In addition to acting, Simone has also been a co-host of the reality competition show “Wipeout” since 2021.

Outside of her career, Simone has been involved in various charitable causes, including the Human Rights Campaign, the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

I move countries every three or four years. I was born in London, and we lived in Canada. Then we lived in Saudi Arabia until the Gulf War broke out, when we were forced to leave. Then we hop-scotched for a while from Holland back to Canada back to Saudi Arabia. Then there was D-day, so we had to get out again.

I lived on the Greek side of Cypress, and I think that’s also where my interest in politics really started to come alive. It was the first time that I was told I couldn’t go somewhere: My grandfather’s house is on the Turkish side, but we were not allowed to go there.

I had two different degrees: One in International Relations/Political Science and another degree in Radio and Television Production.
