Lola Brooke, born Shyniece Thomas on February 1, 1994, is an American hip hop artist from Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. After being inspired by artists like 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, and Meek Mill, Brooke began making music in 2016 and adopted her stage name, a combination of the Looney Tunes character Lola Bunny and Brooklyn. She achieved her breakout in 2021 with her single “Don’t Play with It,” which went viral on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram. Brooke signed with Arista Records in January 2023 and served as an opening act on A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s Me v. Myself Tour. In March 2023, she released “So Disrespectful” and a remix of “Don’t Play with It” featuring Latto and Yung Miami.
