A photographer who previously worked with Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit claiming he was compelled to witness her engaging in sexual activity, unfairly dismissed shortly afterward, and mistreated during his employment.

In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Emilio Garcia alleges that following a night out in Ibiza, Spain in 2022, he was in a moving SUV with the hip-hop star when she began having sex with another woman next to him. Garcia states he was unable to leave the vehicle, and even if he could, he would have been stranded in a foreign country with no way to go. According to the lawsuit, Garcia felt embarrassed, mortified, and offended throughout the incident.

Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, responded by stating they will contest the lawsuit in court.

“This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her,” Spiro said.

The lawsuit also alleges that the next day, Megan instructed Garcia never to discuss what he witnessed, and criticized and body-shamed him. Garcia had reportedly been considering quitting due to being overworked, underpaid, and subjected to a hostile work environment exacerbated by Megan’s possessive and abusive behavior. Despite raising these issues with Megan, Garcia was fired the following day after four years of working for her, the suit claims. He has since filed a job discrimination complaint with the California Civil Rights Department.

The lawsuit, which was first reported by NBC News, names Megan (Megan Pete), her companies Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment and Hot Girl Touring, and her label, Roc Nation, as defendants. A response from the defense has yet to be filed.

Garcia seeks financial damages to be determined at trial, alleging severe emotional and physical suffering due to his treatment on the job, his termination, and having to witness the incident in the SUV.

Megan Thee Stallion, 29, previously faced significant legal issues and online abuse as the victim of a shooting by rapper Tory Lanez in 2020. Lanez was convicted of three felonies and sentenced to 10 years in prison following a trial where Megan testified. Since then, Megan has become one of hip-hop’s most prominent stars, winning a Grammy for best new artist in 2021 and achieving chart-topping success with hits like “Savage” featuring Beyoncé and “WAP” with Cardi B.
