Jessica Alba resigns from her position as the chief creative officer at Honest, the personal care company that she established

So, here’s the scoop: Jessica Alba, you know, the star of “Dark Angel” and those badass “Sin City” and “Fantastic Four” movies, is shaking things up a bit. She’s saying goodbye to her gig as chief creative officer at Honest Company, yep, the same company she co-founded.

But don’t worry, she’s not disappearing completely. Alba’s still gonna have a say on the company board, but she’s shifting gears to dive into some fresh projects. And get this – she actually started Honest back in 2012 after having some serious allergic reactions to baby laundry detergents. Talk about turning a problem into a solution, right?

Now, Honest went public in May 2021, and man, did their shares skyrocket! Like, 44% in their stock market debut – that’s no joke! But despite sales climbing steadily, they’ve had a bit of a rough patch turning a profit. However, just recently, they finally posted their first profitable quarter since mid-2021.

In a heartfelt statement, Alba opened up about how Honest has been a real labor of love for her, showing her what’s possible when you mix purpose with business. And let’s not forget about her early days, starring in shows like “The Secret World of Alex Mack” and the revamped “Flipper” series.

But hey, stocks may have dipped a tad before the opening bell Wednesday, but something tells me Jessica Alba’s not done surprising us just yet.
