Victoria Justice filmed her ‘first ever sex scene’ on the very first day of shooting for her new movie, prompting her to wonder, “Really? We’re going to schedule this for the first day?”
Victoria Justice, renowned for her leading role on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious,” recently shared during an interview on SiriusXM’s “Hits 1 LA with Tony Fly and Symon” that her forthcoming role in the film “Depravity” necessitated her to film her inaugural sex scene. Describing the experience as “uncomfortable,” Justice commended the crew for executing it “with taste.”
“On my first day on set, I had my very first sex scene. I thought, ‘Really, guys? We’re scheduling this for the first day? Okay, thanks for that,'” Justice remarked. “It was awkward. I was actually quite nervous and completely anxious about the entire situation, questioning whether I had made the right choice.”
Emphasizing her trust in the director, Justice stated, “I had a lot of faith and trust in our director. He made me feel very comfortable about it and said, ‘Listen, I’ll show it to you beforehand. If you don’t like it, then we’ll change it.'”
“Depravity” marks Paul Tamasy’s directorial debut, known for his screenplay contributions to films like David O. Russell’s “The Fighter” and “The Finest Hours.” The narrative centers on tenants who suspect their neighbor is a serial killer and stumble upon an art heist worth millions. Justice stars alongside Devon Ross, Taylor John Smith, Sasha Luss, and Dermot Mulroney.
Reflecting on the filming process, Justice remarked, “Sometimes people think filming sex scenes or anything intimate is really sexy… it’s really not. It’s uncomfortable, honestly, and there’s a bunch of random dudes in the room breathing and watching you.” She further added, “The actor I was working with, we were as friendly as we could be. We barely knew each other because it was the first day of filming. He was a super nice guy, made me feel safe, and was very polite and respectful.”
Concluding, Justice mentioned that filming progressed smoothly, and the sex scene was rendered “very tasteful.” Paramount acquired global rights to “Depravity” in December, though a release date remains pending.
