Sophie Choudry, born on February 8, 1982, is a British singer and actress who has established a significant career in India. Raised in Manchester, she was named Sophia after Sophia Loren, a favorite actress of her father’s, but she later adopted the name “Sophie”. Choudry pursued her education at the London School of Economics, where she graduated in European politics and French. Additionally, she is a gold medalist from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and studied for two years at the “Sciences Po” in Paris, France.
In the late 1990s, Choudry began her career in entertainment as a presenter for Zee TV UK, and her singing career was launched when she was discovered by music director Biddu at the age of 12. In 2000, she started her pop singing career with the all-female band “Sansara”, and after a couple of successful songs, she embarked on a solo career.
